    General Leasing Questions

  • +Are the apartments furnished?

    Yes! Our apartments, catering to the Hopkins community come fully furnished. Furnished apartments come with a couch (living room), chair (two and four bedrooms only), nesting tables (living room), TV stand (living room), bar stools (two and four bedrooms only) and a 42" flat screen TV (living room). In each bedroom, you will have a full-size bed (54" x 75"), a nightstand (studios and specialty one bedrooms only), a dresser for additional storage, and a desk with a chair. A limited number of specialty One Bedroom/One Bath and Four Bedroom/Two Bath apartments will have a queen size bed (60" x 80"), a 28" flat screen TV, and a nightstand. No need to go to the laundromat because all of our apartments come with an eco-friendly washer and dryer!
  • +Can I pay my bill with a credit card? Is there an extra charge?

    Absolutely! All credit card payments can be made using the resident portal. Our systems accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express from any computer.
    All credit card payments, including debt card payments are charged a 2.5% convenience fee.
  • +How do I avoid the 2.5% convenience fee?

    Residents can avoid the fee by paying with banker's checks, personal checks, money orders, or by paying online via their resident portal using their account and routing number.
  • +Can I request an apartment or roommates?

    Living with your friends is also a bonus while you are in school, and we are always willing to do the best we can to place you together!
    If you don't have any roommates in mind, we offer the option to match you with someone in your current program. However, it is based upon availability. This process really helps take the guess work out of finding great people to live with for the next year!
  • +Do the apartments have gas utilities?

    No. However, everything is electric, making it safer (and more cost-effective) to live in 929!
  • +How close to the Johns Hopkins Medical campus (East Baltimore) are you?

    Really close, like two blocks! We're located at 929 North Wolfe Street; across from Johns Hopkins Hospital and next door to the Rangos Building.
  • +How many people live there?

    We have over 500 bedrooms (572, to be exact), so there's plenty of space to live with your friends and meet new ones!
  • +If I am over 21, do I need a guarantor?

    Applicants must meet income qualifications if they do not have a guarantor. Please contact the leasing office for more details.
  • +Is parking available?

    Parking for 929 is available at Ashland Garage (just next door). However, parking is not included in our Lease Agreement but can be purchased separately through the Johns Hopkins Parking and Transportation office. Their office is located at 600 N. Wolfe Street, Harvey 108 and they are open from 8am to 4pm, Monday thru Friday at 410-955-5333.
  • +Is short-term housing available in the 929 Apartments?

    At the 929 Apartments, we are now offering 10 month, 11month, and 12month lease options. However, if you are interested in shorter-term lease option, our leasing team can talk with you regarding your needs and connect you with any residents seeking a lease takeover (official sublet) on the community. *Additional terms and conditions apply*
  • +What fees will I incur before move-in?

    There are two charges to look out for after you pay your Application Fee of $25. There is a one-time $200.00 Community Fee and a prorated rent charge. Please note that the prorated rent charge will be indicated on your lease and both fees are due before you move in.
  • +What is the community fee?

    The Community Fee is a one-time fee that goes toward the maintenance of the fitness room, rooftop terrace, and other common area spaces in our community.
  • +What is the cost?

    Our pricing is updated here on the website! Stop by our office located on the first floor, visit our website (www.live929.com), or give us a call (410-246-8538) for additional details on rates and floor plan sizes!
  • +Who do I make my payment out to if I'm paying by check or money order?

    All payments should be made payable to: 929 N. Wolfe Street LLC. Please include the unit/apartment number in the memo section.
  • +What types of apartments/rooms are available?

    At 929, we offer our residents a variety of apartment styles to choose from including studios, one bedroom/one bath, two bedroom/two bath, and four bedroom/two bath. We also have some limited availability of premium apartments and master bedrooms. Contact us for availability and details.
  • +What utilities are included in my monthly installment?

    We take care of your gas, water, trash, wi-fi and internet. Please note that your electric usage is capped per month and is based on the size of your unit.
  • +When can I move in?

    Your move-in date is determined by your lease start date. Please note that we cannot accept early arrivals. For that reason, please call the leasing office for any changes needed for your start date.

    Renewal Questions

  • +Can I request different roommates?

    We want you to be comfortable here, and we will do everything we can to accommodate your roommate requests.
  • +What is a "renewal?"

    Are you loving it here and can't imagine leaving at the end of your lease? By signing a renewal, you get to extend your stay at our community!
  • +If I renew, do I have to move out then move back in?

    When you renew and choose to stay in your current spot, no moving is required!
  • +If I renew, will my guarantor have to sign again?

    No. Your guarantor doesn't have to do anything extra!
  • +I'm graduating in December, can I still renew?

    Contact the office for details on the options available to you.
  • +I just moved in, is it too early to renew?

    Just a bit! After you have moved in, renewing is a breeze. We will send you your renewal offer just a few months after move in. Renewing early will provide the most benefit to you. By signing early, you will secure your space for next year and take advantage of the best pricing available.
  • +How do I renew my lease?

    We know how busy you are, so we have made the process as quick and easy as possible. Renewing is a easy as "1,2,3"! Just following these steps:

    1. After receiving your renewal offer, email us with your intent to renew your lease and documentation showing your active affiliation with Hopkins.
    2. Within 48 hours, you will receive your lease to sign through HelloSign.
    3. Follow the prompts to sign the new lease agreement.
    It's that easy!
  • +When do I start paying the new rent amount?

    On the first day of your new lease.
