    General Leasing Questions

  • +Are the apartments furnished?

    You tell us! We offer furnished and unfurnished apartments for our One Bedroom/One Bath and Two Bedroom/Two Bath apartments units. Studios and four bedrooms apartments always come furnished. Furnished apartments come with a couch (living room), chair (Two and Four Bedrooms only), nesting tables (living room), TV stand (living room), bar stools (Two and Four Bedrooms only) and a 42" flat screen TV (living room). In each bedroom, you will have a full size bed (54" x 75") with two under-the-bed drawers, nightstand (Studios and specialty One Bedrooms only), four-drawer dresser, and a desk with a chair. A limited number of specialty One Bedroom/One Bath and Four Bedroom/Two Bath apartments will have a queen size bed (60" x 80"), a 28" flat screen TV, and a nightstand. No need to go to the laundromat because all of our apartments come with an eco-friendly washer and dryer!
  • +Can I pay my bill with a credit card? Is there an extra charge?

    929 has a great feature that lets you pay online! View your balance, submit electronic checks, or pay with a Visa, MasterCard, or Discover from any computer. You can even submit maintenance requests! Just log on to our website and click the "Pay Rent" link. This will take you to our resident rent pay portal. There is a small convenience charge for this service. If you pay with a Visa, the fee is $1.50 plus 2.95% of the Visa maximum ($1549). Mastercard and Discover charge $1.50 plus 2.95% of the payment total. If you want to save the fee charge, pay with e-check from a checking account for only $0.99!
  • +Can I request an apartment or roommates

    Living with your friends is also a bonus while you are in school, and we are always willing to do the best we can to place you together! If you don't have any roommates in mind, we offer a great roommate placement program that helps take the guess work out of finding great people to live with for the next year!
  • +Do the apartments have gas utilities?

    No, everything is electric, making it safer (and more cost-effective) to live in 929!
  • +How close to the Johns Hopkins Medical campus (East Baltimore) are you?

    Really close, like two blocks! We're located at 929 North Wolfe Street; across from Johns Hopkins Hospital and next door to the Rangos Building.
  • +How many people live there?

    We have over 500 bedrooms (572, to be exact), so there's plenty of space to live with your friends and meet new ones!
  • +If I am over 21, do I need a guarantor?

    Applicants must meet income qualifications if they do not have a guarantor, Please contact the leasing office for more details.
  • +Is parking available?

    Parking for 929 is available in the Ashland Garage. Parking is not included in our License Agreement, but can be purchased separately. For pricing and other parking options, please visit the office in the garage itself or contact Johns Hopkins Parking & Transportation at 410-614-1436.
  • +Is short-term housing available in the 929 Apartments?

    At the 929 Apartments, we offer housing for a minimum of 11.5 months in studio, one bedroom/one bathroom, two bedroom/two bathroom, and four bedroom/two bathroom apartments. However, if you are interested in short-term housing in the 929 Apartments in a studio, one bedroom/one bathroom, and two bedroom/two bathroom apartments, you will need to contact the Johns Hopkins Housing Office at 410-955-3905 or email jhmihousingoffice@jhmi.edu for reservations.   • +What fees will I incur before move-in?

    There's a $25 Application Fee when you apply. This can be done online or in the Leasing Center with a check or money order (payable to 929 N. Wolfe Street LLC). A one-time $200.00 Community Fee is due when you turn in your License Agreement. The Community Fee goes toward the maintenance of the fitness room, rooftop terrace, and other common area spaces. After those two initial fees, the next charge coming your way will be your rental installment!
  • +What if I don't have a roommate? Or there's just two of us and we want a Four Bedroom/Two Bath apartment?

    No problem! With our roommate matching service, we can easily accommodate you, even if you don't have anyone to live with or only have one or two roommates.
  • +What is the cost?

    Stop by our office located on the first floor, visit our website (www.live929.com), or give us a call (410-246-8538) for details on rates and floor plan sizes!
  • +What size are the beds?

    Most of our units have beds that are full size (54" x 75"). Certain specialty units have queen beds. Beds come with two drawers underneath for storage!
  • +What types of apartments/rooms are available?

    At 929, we offer our residents a variety of apartment styles to choose from including Studios, One Bedroom/One Bath, Two Bedroom/Two Bath, and Four Bedroom/Two Bath. Our studios and four bedroom units are completely furnished, and one bedroom and two bedroom units are available either furnished or unfurnished. If you're looking to make the apartment yours, take it without furniture. If you want the hassle of moving heavy objects and bulky items removed, take it furnished! We have a few semi-furnished options so ask us about those if you want a furnished bedroom, but want to design your own common area!
  • +What types of leases are available?

    Our lease is called a License Agreement and has three different start dates, under normal circumstances. The earliest move-in option is from June 15th to May 31st. The second option offered is from August 1st to July 15th. The third and final option is from August 15th to July 31st. For more information, just give us a call at 410-246-8538!
  • +What utilities are included in my monthly installment?

    We take care of your water and trash, extended cable (details of cable line up are available in the office!), as well as high speed internet in every room and wireless connectivity throughout the building! Your gas and electric are also included!
  • +When can I move in?

    Our move-in dates are June 15th, August 1st, and August 15th. Other dates may be available, but depend on vacancy. Call for details if you're looking for another start date.
  • +Will you send me a bill for each installment?

    No, payment is due at the beginning of every month and a bill will not be sent. You can, however, find a copy of your payment schedule on the front page of your License Agreement.

    Renewal Questions

  • +Can I request different roommates?

    We want you to be comfortable here, and we will do everything we can to accommodate your roommate requests.
  • +What is a "renewal?"

    Are you loving it here and can't imagine leaving at the end of your lease? By signing a renewal, you get to extend your stay at your community!
  • +If I renew, do I have to move out then move back in?

    When you renew and choose to stay in your current spot, no moving is required!
  • +If I renew, will my guarantor have to sign again?

    No. Your guarantor doesn't have to do anything extra!
  • +I'm graduating in December, can I still renew?

    Contact the office for details on the options available to you.
  • +I just moved in, is it too early to renew?

    Renewing now will provide the most benefit to you. By signing early, you will secure your space for next year and take advantage of the best pricing available.
  • +How do I renew my lease?

    We know how busy you are, so we have made the process as quick and easy as possible. Renewing is a easy as "1,2,3"! Just following these steps:

    1. Open your renewal email from us.
    2. Review the terms, and click "Accept"
    3. Follow the prompts to sign the new lease agreement.
    It's that easy!
  • +When do I start paying the new rent amount?
